COLORADO: Norovirus cause of DU illnesses - (The Denver Post)
April 16, 2008 – 11:00 pmThe illness that sickened 63 University of Denver students has been identified as a norovirus.
The students reported symptoms including stomach cramps, vomiting and diarrhea during a four-day period beginning Sunday.
The virus is spread by direct contact with contaminated surfaces, people, food or other objects. It is not spread through coughing or sneezing. Symptoms generally pass within 12 to 36 hours.
