When the NSW Food Authority surveyed samples from 25 kebab shops earlier this year, less than half were described as “satisfactory;” half contained traces of E.coli, the bacteria commonly associated with undercooked meat and food poisoning.
“Alarming”, was how the minister responsible, Ian Macdonald, described the results.
“We won’t accept substandard operators. They need to lift their game,” he puffed.
