UK: Waitrose recalls alfalfa seeds - (Food Standards Agency)

Waitrose has recalled some of its own-brand alfalfa seeds because of the presence of salmonella. Salmonella is a bacterium that can cause food poisoning. The Agency has issued a Food Alert for Information.
Waitrose has recalled the affected batch from sale. Product recall notices will appear in stores nationwide explaining why the product has been recalled and the actions customers can take if they have purchased the seeds.

* Waitrose Ltd Alfalfa Seeds
* Best before: 26/03/08 and 05/04/08
* Size: 150g
No other Waitrose Ltd products are known to be affected.
