The Food Safety and Inspection Service has for the first time made public results from completed samples sets from its Salmonella Verification Program for broiler slaughter establishments in performance Category 2 and Category 3.
In a posting on its Web site, the agency said going forward it intends to post updated results on or about the 15th of each month. That will include data collected through the end of the previous month, FSIS said.
The results, which can be seen here, will be updated monthly, and new results will replace the previous month’s results, FSIS said.

FSIS is not listing establishments in Category 1 or establishments that do not yet have enough sets completed as required for Category 1, but the agency said it is looking at making a category for those establishments in the future.
