A Letter to J

September 5, 2007 – 2:00 am

Dear J-
Each day that passes without a call from you makes me wonder more, why? Why are we doing this? What are we playing at? It seems to me to be a power struggle between us. You won’t call me because you want to maintain the upper hand in our twisted relationship. You think I will always break down and call you. Well, guess what? I’m sick of you disrespecting me and I’m not going to take it anymore.
I’m not even sure why we still talk. What are we gaining from it? An occasional hook-up, a night to offer each other comfort? It’s not enough for me. Each time I see you, spend time with you, I end up wanting more than I can have. Each touch is a sweet torture to me - the brush of your hand over mine the last time we met still gives me tingles.
