UK: Family that beat killer bug - (The Herald)
February 19, 2008 – 6:14 pmIt was, according to this story, the first week of the school holidays and the Campbell family had gone to Aviemore to enjoy the great outdoors. Innes, five, and Catriona, eight, had already visited a deer park and a fairground.
Tuesday was spent grass-sledging and swimming. But at tea-time Innes complained of stomach ache and after a night of sickness and severe diarrhoea his parents were so concerned they took him to the nearest health centre.
It was the beginning of a nightmare which would confine both their children for most of the summer to an isolation ward at the Royal Hospital for Sick Children in Yorkhill, Glasgow.
