UK: East End Foods plc recalls Dried Apricots Seedless - (Food Standards Agency)

East End Foods plc has recalled its own-brand Dried Apricots Seedless (300g) because the product contains sulphur dioxide, which is not mentioned on the label. This makes the product a possible health risk for people who are sensitive to sulphur dioxide. The Agency has issued an Allergy Alert.
Anyone who is sensitive to sulphur dioxide is advised not to eat this product. Some people with asthma are sensitive to sulphur dioxide and relatively small amounts may trigger an asthma attack.

The company has recalled the affected product from sale and has contacted the relevant allergy support organisations, which will inform their members of the recall. Notices are being displayed in all stores explaining why the product has been recalled and the actions customers should take if they have bought the product.
