January 30, 2008 – 5:59 pmThe newest food safety infosheet, a graphical one-page food safety-related story directed at food handlers, is now available at foodsafetyinfosheets.ksu.edu.
Infosheet highlights:
Salmonella from pet turtles sickens 103 in 2007.
Keep pets out of the kitchen. Wash hands following any petting.
Especially avoid pets with diarrhea.
Salmonella infections can be severe, leading to hospitalization and, in some cases, death.
