Wall St. fights back after opening slump

January 23, 2008 – 12:11 am

Asian markets Tuesday suffered a second rough day, but European and U.S. markets suffered less after the U.S. central bank cut two key rates. U.S. stocks have tumbled in 2008 so far on growing fears of a recession which may be felt around the world.
