September 13, 2007 – 6:28 pmDenver — The Denver area health department is proposing a rule change that gives business owners the choice of whether to allow it.
Ellen Dumm, the health department’s Communications Director, was quoted as saying, “So if they think it is a good idea for their clientele and they post it and their customers make a choice whether or not they want to be there. That works for everyone.”
Deb Dempsey, co-owner of Mouthfuls Pet Boutique in Denver, was quoted as saying, “We’ve been looking for alternative ways for people to spend time with their dogs and eat at the same time. So we added tables out here. We have a list of all the take-out menus of all the restaurants on the street.”
