NEW JERSEY: Prison illness still a puzzle - (The Express Times)
December 27, 2007 – 6:28 pmEASTON — Officials were cited as saying Wednesday that an outbreak of flulike symptoms that sickened up to 100 inmates at Northampton County Prison last week was likely not food-related.
Deputy Warden Bill Sweeney said the inmates’ stool samples tested negative for botulism and salmonella, all but ruling out the sickness originated from something the prisoners ate.
