INDIANAPOLIS: Parasite outbreak at Lebanon daycare - (Eyewitness News)
December 21, 2007 – 5:43 pmBoone County — The Boone County Health Department was cited as saying 14 children at the Calvary Kids Daycare Center have tested positive for cryptosporidium.
The story says that the source of the parasite is fecal matter.
“These kids - less than three years old, some of those kids are still in diapers and they have to be changed at the day care. Then there may not have been proper hand washing techniques after the diaper change and that’s how it starts spreading,” said Dr. H. Servies Jr., Witham Hospital.
