Co-operating Societies Agreement between IFST and IFST of Ireland - (Institute of Food Science & Technology)

The Institute of Food Science & Technology and the Institute of Food
Science & Technology of Ireland jointly announced on 30 November 2007 the
establishment of a Co-operating Societies Agreement between them.
The joint announcement reads:
The Institute of Food Science & Technology of Ireland (IFSTI) and the
Institute of Food Science & Technology (IFST) are the respective national
professional bodies. Both recognise their international responsibilities
in food science and technology and the important role of the International
Union of Food Science & Technology (IUFoST).
Without in any way detracting from the role of IUFoST, or from the direct
relationships that each of our Institutes has with other national food
science and technology bodies, the two Institutes have agreed that there
would be substantial merit in direct collaboration between them in matters
of common interest and concern, on an equal and reciprocal basis.
Accordingly, they jointly announce that they formally recognise each other
as Co-operating Societies and each appoints a person to act as Liaison
