WASHINGTON: Public meeting to address Codex Committee on milk and milk products - (USDA News Release)
November 27, 2007 – 8:03 pmWASHINGTON - The U.S. Department of Agriculture’s Food Safety and Inspection Service (FSIS) and Agricultural Marketing Service (AMS) today announced a public meeting to provide information and receive comments on agenda items and draft U.S. positions for the Eighth Session of the Codex Committee on Milk and Milk Products (CCMMP) of the Codex Alimentarius Commission (Codex). The formal committee session will be held at the Millennium Hotel in Queenstown, New Zealand, Feb 4-8, 2008.
The public meeting will be held from 9:00 a.m. to noon, Thursday, Jan. 17, 2008, in Room 3074, South Agriculture Building, USDA, 1400 Independence Avenue, SW, Washington, D.C. 20250.
Pre-registration for the public meeting is not required, however, attendees must present photo identification to gain admittance to the building. Agenda items and related documents may be accessed at www.codexalimentarius.net/current.asp.
The CCMMP was established to elaborate codes, guidelines, standards and related texts for milk and milk products.
