James Ancliff of Fettercairn, who recently triumphed over the deadly E.coli bug is now, according to this story, preparing for the biggest fight of his professional career.
The story says that the 23-year-old bantamweight was hooked up to a drip in Aberdeen Royal Infirmary after contracting the potentially fatal infection in October. But Ancliff is confident he will be back on top form when he squares up to Michael Crossan in Glasgow next month, stating, “When I first got ill I carried on training as I thought it would pass but as soon as they found out it was e.coli they took me straight into hospital.
