CALIFORNIA: Reinspection nets ‘A’ grade - (The Bakersfield Californian)
November 21, 2007 – 8:20 pmMimi’s Café has an “A” on its front window again after a Tuesday morning rescore inspection by food safety officials from Kern County Environmental Health Services.
The California Avenue restaurant had earned a “B” grade in an Oct. 10 surprise inspection.
But, due to a software glitch in inspection equipment, the restaurant sported an “A” grade in its window for more than a month.
That grade was taken down Monday after the glitch was discovered and a “B” grade was put up in its place.
On Tuesday the “B” grade was taken down and an “A” put back up.
Mimi’s earned a perfect 100 point score Tuesday, said Environmental Health chief Matt Constantine — exactly what is expected of a restaurant during a preannounced rescore evaluation.
