ARIZONA: 3 eateries fail twice; 2 had past problems - (Arizona Daily Star)
November 18, 2007 – 8:16 pmTuscon, AZ — Three food establishments were placed on provisional licenses in October after earning too many critical violations during unannounced inspections. All three failed followup reinspections, and two have since passed a second follow-up.
Salón de Eventos El Mezquite, 7130 S. Nogales Highway, failed a Nov. 7 reinspection but passed on Nov. 9, and Tiny’s Saloon & Steakhouse, 4900 W. Ajo Way, failed a Nov. 1 reinspection but passed on Nov. 7.
Brawley’s Restaurant, 6367 E. Broadway, failed a Nov. 14 reinspection and has yet to pass, according to Pima County Health Department records.

During an Oct. 30 inspection, Brawley’s was found to have ham sitting in a container on top of a refrigerator. The cook said it had been there for about 20 minutes. The ham was discarded at the health inspector’s request.
