About 1000 people have, according to this story, been sickened with acute diarrhea in Vietnam.
According to reports a total of 13 cities and provinces are home to cases of the outbreak with many of the unlucky people testing positive for the cholera virus.
Vietnam announced an acute diarrhea epidemic last week and put a ban on a popular fermented shrimp paste, which has been blamed for up to half the cases.
Nguyen Trong Quynh, chief of the provincial People’s Committee, said Thanh Hoa province had imposed a temporary ban on serving food at wedding parties and funerals.
