UK: Pasteurised egg products withdrawn - (Food Standards Agency)
November 13, 2007 – 7:01 pmFollowing two outbreaks of salmonella in the east of England and Jersey, UK food wholesaler Ritter Courivaud Ltd has withdrawn two batches of pasteurised egg yolk and egg white products. The products were manufactured in France.
The products are:
* Liot pasteurised liquid sweetened egg yolk (1kg)
* Batch code: 727201
* Best before: 05/07/08
* Liot pasteurised liquid egg white (1kg)
* Batch code: 731203
* Best before: 02/02/08
These products have been sold only to catering businesses such as restaurants and patisseries and also to a small number of catering wholesalers. Ritter Courivaud Ltd has withdrawn these particular batches and has informed the Agency that the customers who received the affected batches have been contacted and instructed to stop using them and return them to Ritter Courivaud Ltd.
