OREGON: Beef and chicken products recalled on adulteration fears - (Meatingplace.com)
November 3, 2007 – 8:02 pmAnnex Foods, a Portland, Ore., food processor, is voluntarily recalling approximately 4,374 pounds of various cooked beef and chicken products that may be adulterated due to inadequate HACCP verification and, the Agriculture Department’s Food Safety and Inspection Service has announced.
The following products are subject to recall:
* 1-lb. and 3-lb. bags of “The Original Taco House Cooked Beef for Tacos.”
* 4-lb and 8-lb. bags of “Annex Foods Chili Verde.”
* 8-lb. bags of “Annex Foods Chili Colorado.”
* 3-lb. bags of “Annex Foods Cooked Beef for Tacos.”
* 8-lb. bags of “Annex Foods White Chicken Taco Filling.”
* 3-lb. bags of “Annex Foods Mexican Meatballs.”
* 8-lb. bags of “Annex Foods Enchilada Meat Filling.”
Each package also bears the establishment number “EST. 5880″ inside the USDA mark of inspection. The company also applies a “best if used by date” on the package based on a 40-day shelf life.
