November 2, 2007 – 7:11 pmThe ILSI North America Technical Committee on Food Microbiology is currently accepting preproposals for financial support for research in the following specific areas:
1. Detection and mitigation strategies for viral causes of foodborne illness
2. Control of sporeforming bacterial pathogens and spoilage organisms
3. Rapid separation and concentration of pathogens from food matrices
4. Technology and processes to control Salmonella in low-moisture foods
The deadline for submission of preproposals is 25 January 2008.
Copies of the complete Request for Preproposals, including the application form, can be obtained from the ILSI office or electronically from the ILSINorth America website at www.ilsina.org.
