NEW JERSEY: 6 Hudson stores sold recalled beef - (North Jersey Media Group)

October 31, 2007 – 11:04 pm

Six additional Hudson County food stores have, according to this story, been found selling frozen hamburger and beef products recalled by the Topps Meat Co. because of potential E. coli contamination.
State officials were cited as announcing Tuesday that inspectors from the New Jersey Division of Consumer Affairs, Hudson County and municipal health departments have located 138 boxes of the recalled product since last Wednesday.
They visited 197 retail stores in Hudson County after the meat was found on the shelves of the Stop 1 Food Mart in Union City. The store, also known as Bargain World, had not previously been identified by name.
