IRELAND: Expert warns about ongoing risk of E.coli outbreaks - (Belfast Telegraph)
October 5, 2007 – 8:53 pmProfessor Hugh Pennington was cited as warning that further outbreaks of E. coli are inevitable unless more rigorous hygiene standards are enforced.=
He will outline his concerns at a conference in Dublin today.
Prof Pennington chaired an inquiry into an e.coli outbreak that claimed 17 lives in Scotland 11 years ago.
