INDIANA E. coli outbreak unrelated to hamburger recall - (Channel 18 News)
October 4, 2007 – 6:56 pmFLOYDS KNOBS, Ind. — Officials have, according to this story, ruled out school cafeteria food as the source of an outbreak of E. coli in southern Indiana that has sickened at least 10 people, including seven schoolchildren.
All the people infected last month are linked in some way to Galena Elementary School in Floyds Knobs. 3 of the cases are not students.
School officials don’t think the cases are linked to a nationwide recall of frozen ground beef last week.
