UK: Independent Foods withdraws I’s Pies Smoked Haddock pie - (Food Standards Agency)

Independent Foods has withdrawn batches of I’s Pies chilled and frozen Smoked Haddock pie with mustard and leek 200g. The products contain celery, which is not clearly shown on the label. The Food Standards Agency has issued an Allergy Alert. Customers who are allergic to celery are advised not to eat the product.

* Best Before Date 4 February 2008
No other I’s Pies branded products are known to be affected
Independent Foods has undertaken a withdrawal of the affected batches. These products are sold in the North Yorkshire area. Point-of-sale notices will be displayed in stores that sell the affected product, telling customers that they can return the product to the store and receive a full refund.
