WASHINGTON — The United States Department of Agricultures Food Safety and Inspection Service (FSIS) is introducing a Spanish language Food Safety at Home podcast series. These podcasts are another convenient and innovative way for the Spanish speaking community to learn the four basic steps of the Be Food Safe campaign: Clean, Separate, Cook, and Chill.
These podcasts are part of an FSIS initiative to educate Spanish-speaking consumers on safe food handling practices and the risks associated with foodborne illness, said FSIS Administrator Al Almanza. Each episode will discuss valuable information on the safe handling, preparation, and storage of meat, poultry, and processed egg products when cooking at home.
These podcasts showcase public health experts discussing a variety of topics that will help consumers keep their food safe. Listen in to learn about other FSIS resources, such as the USDA Meat and Poultry Hotline and Ask Karen, the FSIS virtual representative, which are [...]
