A milk factory in the southern Thai province of Chumphon has been closed due to the contamination of its products with the E coli bacteria.
Following reports of substandard milk being supplied to local schools, Chumphon authorities ordered milk samples to be taken from the Namsrichol Co. factory.
After test results showed the presence of E coli in milk, indicating a substandard production process, Chumphon governor Karan Supakitwilekhakarn issued a 30-day closure order against the factory.
