Food poisoning caused death of 10-year-old, police confirm - (Gulfnews.com)

Abu Dhabi — Abu Dhabi Police were cited as confirming that food poisoning caused the death of Anna Francis, a ten-year-old girl, last week.
However, the two private clinics where she was treated failed to diagnose it, said a senior official.
Major Salem Al Amiri, Officer in Charge of Mussafah Police Station, was quoted as telling Gulf News that, “The tests conducted at the forensic medicine laboratory of Abu Dhabi Police proved that the girl, her brother and their father were affected by food poison from home. But the private clinics where they were treated failed to diagnose their condition and treated them for vomiting and dehydration. So, the food poison remained in their bodies, but the young girl did not have enough immunity whereas her elder brother and father were able to resist it.”
Anna Francis, a Grade V pupil at Saint Joseph School, Abu Dhabi, died on August 26.
