“Actually, I go the university (Guelph), and we are dealing with ANOTHER outbreak of ecoli, this time it is presumed to be from the “pita pit” on campus, and there is lots more they can do. Most of the food handlers on campus don’t wear gloves when they make your food, including pitas and submarines that don’t get cooked. So basically you are eating whatever germs that server had on their hands, so I would say yes, there is more that could be done to prevent food poisoning.
