The Centre for Health Protection has confirmed two reports of norovirus infections involving two Hong Kong Paralympic Village residents aged 19 and 53.
The two women came down with gastroenteritis symptoms on August 31 and September 1. The 19-year-old was admitted to Prince of Wales Hospital on September 1 while the other to Princess Margaret Hospital on September 4. Both are stable.
There is no obvious link between the two cases and the cause of infection has not yet been ascertained.
