Russian troops leaving strategic city
August 22, 2008 – 3:26 pmRussian troops are leaving the strategic Georgian city of Gori but are still manning checkpoints deep in the country’s territory, according to reports. Russian military spokesman Col. Gen. Anatoly Nogovitsyn said it would complete the final phase of its withdrawal from Georgia by late Friday.
