Georgia signs cease-fire agreement

As Georgian President Mikheil Saakashvili signed an updated cease-fire agreement on Friday, U.S. Sec. of State Condoleezza Rice said the priority now was for “all Russian troops and irregulars that entered Georgia with them to leave immediately.” Earlier, Russian President Dmitry Medvedev said Georgia’s two separatist regions, South Ossetia and Abkhazia, were unlikely to ever be part of the country again.
