TENNESSEE: Local farmers boast food safety and quality - (WKRN)
June 15, 2008 – 8:40 pmThe nationwide tomato scare has many shoppers wondering how safe their food really is.
According to this story, tomatoes grown in Tennessee are safe to eat, and the Nashville Farmers’ Market says business is picking up as a result.
Paul Bela runs the Hill and Hollow Farm was cited as saying he’s got good reason to bring safe food to his customers; it’s the same food he puts on his family’s table, adding, “We eat everything we produce, so that’s I guess your first safety check right there.”
