TENNESSEE: No source yet determined for hepatitis A outbreak - (Knoxnews.com)

A health department investigation has been unable so far to find a source of the hepatitis A outbreak that has infected at least eight people in the Mooresburg community of Hawkins County, near Cherokee Lake.
The Northeast Tennessee Regional Health Office has fielded thousands of telephone calls from people who live or recently camped in the Cherokee Lake area, and gave more than 1,500 hepatitis A vaccines over a three-day period last week - most of them to the “worried well,” said Judith Holden, assistant regional director of the health department, adding, “A lot of people are really concerned when maybe they shouldn’t be. It’s not that everybody that lives on Cherokee Lake or visits Cherokee Lake” is at risk of getting hepatitis A.
