INDIA: 103 taken ill after eating contaminated food in Varanasi - (Express News)
May 4, 2008 – 4:56 pmAfter consuming contaminated food at a marriage party, as many as 103 people were taken ill at Amada village Chandauli district on Saturday.
Initial findings suggest that khoya and paneer used in preparing the edibles was contaminated.
Food samples have been sent for laboratory test, said P Tiwari, Chief Medical Officer, Chandauli. Health authorities rushed the sick to Chandauli District Hospital and a hospital in Dhanapur. The sick included children and women, mostly belonging to Dhanapur area of Chandauli.
