Princeton, NJ — There are now eight confirmed cases of salmonella at Princeton University.
And health officials are investigating whether they are related to 80 other cases of stomach problems at the school.
Donna Leusner, a spokeswoman for the New Jersey Department of Health and Senior Services, said Friday that health officials had interviewed 40 patients reporting a stomach illness since last week.
Princeton spokeswoman Cass Cliatt said those who tested positive for the salmonella bacteria had more severe symptoms than the others, who may have caught an unrelated virus.
