and we get mail - (Tom McMeekin)
May 1, 2008 – 8:30 pmG’day Doug,
Mate, over the last few days I’ve noticed publications on FSNet in the “Journal of Food Microbiology” - bugger I thought and said loudly, as one does in Australia to express general annoyance, “another bloody new journal”.
And poop, as they say in North America, how dare they pick a title that is very close to that of the leading journal in the field - the International Journal of Food Microbiology!
However, the papers listed reveal that,in fact, they were published in IJFM and the confusion arises from omission of the International adjective or should I have written the adjective, International.
Anyway I’m sure you will remedy the situation with alacrity and you may, with my blessing, publish this mild missive.
See ya, cobber,
Big Tom
